About providerConnect™
providerConnect™ is a web portal for health service providers in Canada owned and administered by GreenShield Administration. It gives pharmacy, extended health and dental providers access to the Provider Registry, secure services for direct deposit and online claiming (where applicable), claim forms, administration guidelines and more. providerConnect™ is a technology solution that helps providers better manage their health care practice – and their relationships with health and dental Carriers/Adjudicators/Third Party Payors. And ultimately, it services to enhance the plan member and provider experience.
The Provider Registry – a central database of authorized providers
providerConnect™ collects and stores core information about health service providers across Canada through a national provider database called the Provider Registry. Core information is information that is necessary to administer claims, and includes information such as: name, license or registration number, provider type and billing status. The Provider Registry serves as a centralized database for all health service providers that are authorized to submit claims and/or bill Participating Carriers/Adjudicators/Third Party Payors directly.
Please note: If you are already submitting claims to one of the providerConnect™ Participating Carriers/Adjudicators/Third Party Payors, then you are automatically part of the Provider Registry and do not need to submit an application.
